The Sky Fall singer then captioned the post;

 “Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London.”

The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual cultural event held in London to celebrate the Black British culture. It started since 1966, but this year’s carnival couldn’t be held in the public space rather it was held online due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Adele has been trending worldwide on Twitter as certain people have accused her of cultural appropriation and expressed shock at her wearing the Bantu hairstyle.

Journalists Jemele Hill and Ernest Owens had strong reactions to the photo.

“If 2020 couldn’t get anymore bizarre, Adele is giving us Bantu knots and cultural appropriation that nobody asked for. This officially marks all of the top white women in pop as problematic. Hate to see it,” Owens tweeted.
