See How Okada Robber Lost His Life While Trying To Escape


Okada Robber suspect was involved in a hot chase and unfortunately met his untimely death.

An armed robber who specializes in stealing motorcycle popularly known as okada from the riders lost his life while trying to escape from Police arrest  after shooting a man he stole okada from. The incident happened at Abule Ijaiye area of Lafenwa, Ogun State. Abimbola Oyeyemi, state command Public Relations Officer says the suspect was trying to evade arrest when he fell into a ditch hitting his head on a concrete culvert and died instantly. In his statement, “A motorcycle robber met his Waterloo on Saturday, 28th of April, 2018, when he snatched a motorcycle and shot the owner, Toyin Ayoade, at Abule Ijaye area of Lafenwa in Abeokuta at about 4:45 pm. While Toyin was struggling with him, he shot him on the hand and took possession of the motorcycle.”

The statement also revealed that an alarm raised by the victim at the time of the attack which attracted residents of the area where the attack took place. The suspect was involved in a hot chase and unfortunately met his untimely death. One locally made double barrel pistol, two live cartridges and the snatched motorcycle was recovered from the victim. State command PRO also stated that, “The victim has been taken to the hospital by the DPO Lafenwa division SP Mohammed Odunlami and he is responding to treatment.”Photo Credit: Getty
