Former World Player of the Year Ronaldinho seems to likes to do everything – twice. Reports claim he is set to marry both of his “fiancees”, Priscilla Coelho and Beatriz Souza, in August in the Barra da Tijuca district in Rio de Janeiro where he has lived since 2015.
According to the columnist Leo Dias, from Brazil’s O Dia newspaper, Ronaldinho asked both for their hands in marriage in January last year and gave them both engagement rings.
Both Priscilla and Beatriz are from the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte, the city where the footballer played with Atletico Mineiro, leading the club to its first Copa Libertadores title in 2012.
But who are the TWO girls that have stolen his heart? Priscilla Coelho The former Barcelona player started dating Priscilla Coelho several years ago and they were seen at lots of functions.
They met all the way back when the legend signed for Belo Horizonte club Atletico Mineiro in 2012. She went to the city’s main university to study social communication before going to work for a mining company after working in guest relations for Royal Caribbean cruises.
Beatriz Souza He then met Beatriz Souza – also known as Bia – in 2016 but wanted to have his cake and eat it by continuing to see Priscilla.
It’s even been reported that the two girls are friends and move in the same circles in the city. In March this year, during a trip to Japan with his samba music band, he posted photos and video of himself with both women to his 32 million followers of his Instagram page.
What’s the relationship like? According to other reports, both lovers receive an “allowance” of around £1,500 from the footballer to spend as they wish. He also reportedly always gives the two the exact same presents, including recently buying them the same perfume during a trip abroad together.
Although Ronaldinho has never publicly confirmed his relationship with the women, friends of the star reportedly treat them both as his fiancees. He also travels with both women to almost every event he attends. He is believed to be considering a career in politics like fellow footballer Romario and has joined centre-right party the Brazilian Republican Party (PRB).
But party insiders have privately voiced concerns that Ronaldinho’s unorthodox lifestyle choices could harm his chances at the ballot box, according to reports. The star’s sister, Deisi, who is against her brother’s polygamy, has already said she won’t be attending, according to Dias.
