The Saudi Football Federation, SAFF, has urged FIFA to remove referee, Fahad Al Mirdasi from the list of referees for next month’s World Cup in Russia after he was involved in a bribery incident.
The Saudi governing board has already banned Al Mirdasi for life after he sacked for accepting bribe to influence the outcome of a match.
The 32-year-old referee was given a lifetime ban by the Saudi Football Federation after he confessed to offering to fix the King’s Cup final between Al-Ittihad and Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia.
