Sanwo-Olu: Ambode Left Agege-Pen Cinema Bridge At 20% Completion Before I Completed It

The Lagos State Government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday opened the dual carriageway flyover and five other roads at Agege Pen Cinema within the Agege Area of Lagos State for use with the former Governor of Lagos State and the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu present.  Agege-Pen Cinema bridge Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu at the opening

Speaking at the commissioning of the roads on Friday, the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noted that the government was aware of the challenges residents in the area faced.

According to him, residents and road users along the axis have clamoured for a solution to the suffocating nature of the perennial gridlock occasioned by the huge human and vehicular traffic, flowing through the intersection.

To address the challenge, the governor explained that his administration decided to continue with the construction of a precast and pre-stressed reinforced concrete dual-carriage flyover and ramp, with road works in the area.

Sanwo-Olu Tests Negative, Comes Out Of Isolation
Sanwo-Olu said:

In line with our Strategic Transport Master Plan, I commissioned the 1.4km dual carriage Pen Cinema Flyover Bridge and Ramp with 5 adjoining network of roads today.

It was great to stand before Lagosians to celebrate the delivery of this landmark project, which reflects our administration’s belief in the principle of continuity in governance.

When our administration was inaugurated, this project was at about 20% completion stage.

With the delivery of this bridge, which is complemented with traffic signalisation and drainage channels, we have resolved the perennial traffic arising from huge human and vehicular movement from Agege-Pen Cinema Intersection towards Abule Egba, Fagba, Oke Koto and Iyana Ipaja.
