Santi Cazorla Requires Another Operation As He Suffers A Fresh Injury Setback

Arsenal fans will definitely not like this. Santi Cazorla’s injury worries went from bad to worse on Wednesday, when doctors confirmed that he will need to undergo another surgery if he is to stand a chance to return to football again.
The 32-year-old Spanish international is yet to recover from a long-standing achilles injury that has kept him out of football since October 2016. When asked of the state of the injury, his manager, Arsene Wenger, described his state as the worst he has ever seen. Wenger said “It is the worst injury I’ve known. It’s gone from worse to worse. I know how much Santi loves to play football.”
Cazorla confirmed the need for another surgery on his Twitter account. He tweeted “Due to some discomfort in the tendon that I had been dragging the last few days, I had to go through the operating room again. It is time to delay the return date to the playing fields, I maintain the enthusiasm and motivation to return to enjoy my great passion, football.”
