Sad! Volcanic Eruption In Guatemala Leaves At Least 75 People Dead

At lest 75 people have been confirmed dead and almost 200 missing after a lethal volcanic eruption at mount Fuego in Guatemala blasted out to a residential area on Sunday.

While officials were trying to launch an emergency rescue operation on Tuesday, another massive eruption forced local authorities to enforce a regional evacuation as hot gas and molten rock flowed down the volcano’s side.

Approximately 1.7 million people were affected by Sunday’s eruption, with more than 3,000 evacuated. The second explosion took many by surprise because researchers has concluded, after the first eruption, that the explosion was over for the near future.
The head of Guatemala’s National Institute of Seismology, Mr. Eddy Sanchez also predicted that there will be “no imminent eruption over the next few days”.
