Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard has hailed Mohamed Salah as the best player on the planet right now after his superb show against Roma.

The Egyptian striker scored twice and provided two vital assists as Liverpool beat Roma 5-2 in their Champions League semi-final first leg at Anfield on Tuesday night.
“It’s difficult to compare him to your Ronaldo’s and Messi’s because they’ve done it for so long and consistently year in year out,” Gerrard said as BT Sport pundit. “But without a shadow of a doubt he’s the best player on the planet right now.”
Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah accepted the PFA Player of the Year award last weekend.
