Russia 2018: “We Will Make A Bold Statement” – Rohr Warns Super Eagles Opponents

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has reinstated that the Eagles will be heading to Russia as the African giants that they are, not as an inferior team.

The giants of Africa, who are set to arrive in Russia later in the day, have been highly criticized by the social media community after recording back to back friendly defeats against England and Czech Republic.

The Eagles coach said that the defeats placed the Nigerian team with a good mindset to head into the world cup with the aim of making a bold international statement.
He said: “We are okay with the garb of the underdog. But the defeats have done something for us — we have our heads firmly on our shoulders and we are focused. Together, we have reviewed the matches and learnt so many lessons. We will approach the World Cup matches differently.”
The Eagles will play their first world cup match against Croatia on Saturday, 16th of June.
