Royal Wedding: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Omit This Part Of The Ceremony


Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married today at Windsor Castle in Windsor, England.

Meghan will follow in the footsteps of Kate Middleton and Princess Diana to leave out the traditional promise to “obey” of her vows to Prince Harry. Instead her vows will read as followed: “I Meghan, take you, Harry, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part; according to God’s holy law. In the presence of God I make this vow.”

Thousands of spectators are have lined up outside of Windsor Castle to get a glimpse of Harry and Meghan on their wedding day, which a host of celebrities from politics, TV, movies and music world are expected to attend.
Princess Diana was the first to break royal precedent when she omitted in phrase “obey” in her vows to Prince Charles at their 1981 wedding.
