With the royal wedding just days away, more information has been let out to the public alongside scandals and family issues. Who Is Thomas Markle Thomas W Markle, father of the bride is of Dutch-Irish origin. He was born in 1945and is a former television lighting director. He worked on many popular US shows to include Married with Children and General Hospital. Markle, back in 2011, won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work on General Hospital. He won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction for a Drama Series. Markle married Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland in 1979 and divorced her 9-years later in 1987. 
Will Thomas Markle walk Meghan down the aisle? After several now resolved issues, it has been confirmed that Thomas may not walk his daughter down the aisle on May, 19. The 73-year old recently underwent a heart after he confirmed he had been paid to pose for paparazzi ahead of the wedding. Speaking with TMZ, Thomas said he did want to attend the wedding at first– adding that his doctors might not let him travel due to recent health scares. “I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle.” It has however been confirmed the surgery went well and he is coherent. 
How does Meghan describe her father, Thomas? Social media updates show just how much Meghan loves her dad. “Happy Father’s Day, daddy. I’m still your buckaroo, and to this day your hugs are still the very best in the whole wide world,” the former actress wrote on Instagram in 2016 – sharing a throwback snap of her with her father when she was a baby. “Thanks for my work ethic, my love of Busby Berkeley films & club sandwiches, for teaching me the importance of handwritten thank you notes, and for giving me that signature Markle nose. I love you xo -Bean,” she added.
