Football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to reject the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) offer to watch the Copa Libertadores final with Lionel Messi this weekend. Cristiano who applied for the tickets to watch the match, might not be attending the tournament even after applying. The 33-year-old Ronaldo requested for tickets to watch the Boca Juniors and River Plate match happening this weekend. In a report by the UK Sun, the Portuguese footballer who joined Juventus in a £88.3m deal last summer asked for match ticket from REFF alongside his Argentine counterpart, Messi, to watch the competition that is to hold on the 9th of December. It has however been disclosed by Spanish news channel AS that the footballer might not be attending the tournament due to the manner he left Los Blancos last summer, after a 9-year stint at the Spanish capital. A source revealed to AS that: “Cristiano would be delighted to accept the RFEF’s invitation and watch the game alongside Messi in the VIP lounge but the wounds of his exit have not completely healed over,”.
