Paul Pogba, the Juventus midfielder, has spoken about Cristiano Ronaldo.
He gave his opinion on Ronaldo, the Manchester United forward’s training routine amid the Portuguese’s interview controversy.
Pogba played with Ronaldo for one year at Man United before returning to Juventus in the summer transfer window.
The France international, who will miss the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to injury, said that players Ronaldo and AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the ultimate professionals.
According to him, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner doesn’t see others and always wants to break his records, adding that he is a winner.
Speaking to Wahed on the Muslim Money Guys podcast, Pogba said: “I see professional football players – like Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] – a lot of players are very professional, they come early, they do all their recovery and stuff like that. But someone that has been there every single day and doesn’t stop. That is Cristiano [Ronaldo].
“It is just his personality, he is a winner, that is for sure. He wants to always be right, he is never satisfied with what he has done, he always wants more. He always says: “I can do more. I will do more”. His motivation is crazy. What I saw for a year when I was with him, every day is a new record.
“He is challenging himself. He does not see the others, he would say: ‘I need to be better than me.’”
