Rivers Assembly Begins Impeachment Process Against Fubara


The Rivers State House of Assembly has begun an impeachment process against the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.


According to the source, the members of the House of Assembly commenced the impeachment process around 8:00 a.m. on Monday at the legislative building.

It was also learned that 24 out of 32 members of the House signed the impeachment notice against Fubara.

It was gathered that 24 out of 32 lawmakers removed Ehie and four others from their positions.

In other news, More drama is unfolding at the Rivers State House of Assembly.

This follows the removal of Edison Ehie as the Leader of the House on Monday morning.


24 members of the Assembly signed for the removal of Ehie.

Recall that there was a fire incident at the Rivers State House of Assembly on Sunday night (yesterday night) which greatly affected the chamber.

The recent incidents may be connected to the alleged plot to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
