In a show of great sportsmanship, AS Roma have congratulated their former winger, Mohammed Salah, for progressing to the champions league final, despite the fact that they proceeded to the final at the expense of the Italian giants.
Mohammed Salah – who moved from Roma to Liverpool last summer, rid havoc on his old club in the first leg, as he scored twice and assisted two goals for Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, to give the Reds a first-leg victory.
Roma displayed their love to their former player after the game. They sent a heartfelt message to Salah alongside a picture showing him in both Roma and Liverpool’s kits. See their post below:
It hurts so much that #ASRoma’s incredible dream of going all the way to Kiev is over but you’ll be there in your new colours.
Good luck in the #UCL final @MoSalah#ForzaRoma #YNWA pic.twitter.com/BOsVgoKLjI
