Teams in the EPL have agreed to restart the 2019/2020 EPL season on June 19 after crunch talks with the FA and the Premier League management. EPL

The season could even restart as early as June 17, with teams with games in hand being told to play their games in-hand first.

This would see Aston Villa host Sheffield United and Arsenal visit Manchester City that would take all the 20 clubs up to 29 matches and have huge implications for relegation and European qualification.

All 20 clubs held a video conference call with League bosses today to discuss a range of issues regarding Project Restart.

Football was suspended in March due to Covid-19 but clubs have remained determined to get the campaign completed and have now voted to stage games again next month.

This would leave the month of August free for Uefa to stage the remaining rounds of the Champions League and Europa League, depending on travel restrictions.

Clubs are behind the plan due to the success of the return to training and low numbers of people have tested positive for the virus.
