Release Our Husbands For Us, There’s No Coronavirus – Wives Of Egbin Power Station Workers

Wives of Egbin power station workers are on a riot as they storm the power station to release their husbands to who have been separated from their families and living at the resident Power Station residence since the lockdown by the FG was put in place.  Wives Of Egbin Power Station

The staff of the Egbin power station at Egbin-Ikorodu, have reportedly stormed the Power Station demanding that their husbands be released after they were banned from going home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They were giving the option to stay within the company’s residential estate to avoid Coronavirus or go home and lose their jobs.

However, videos of wives of the Egbin power station workers have been trending online of the women complaining of not seeing their husbands in weeks due to the decree and giving the firm 24 hours to release their husbands or they would take decisive actions.

In one of the videos trending online, one of the protesting wives could be heard saying “Release our husbands for us. There is no Coronavirus.”

“The wives are protesting for the management of the power holding company to let their husbands come home.

“The electricity company has been privatised now. The Asians in charge call the shots and they have given them a choice. Either stay back and work or go home and be jobless.”
