Real Madrid are on the verge of clinching a mega £210million deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. The Spanish giants are prepared to offer Hazard, 28, a whopping £110m six-year contract AND pay the Blues £100m to sign him.
Reports in Spain claim the deal could be announced “within days” as the clubs have “reached an agreement.” Hazard can leave for FREE in a just over a year when his Stamford Bridge contract expires. Real boss Zinedine Zidane is confident of landing the Belgian, who has never hidden his desire to play for the club. The former Lille star insisted: “Real Madrid is the best club in the world. It is my dream since I was a kid.” Hazard will land at least £350,00-a-week over the six years with Real, making him among the best-paid players on the planet. It surpasses the £300,000 a week Chelsea had offered him to stay in West London. The two-time Premier League winner has once again been in fine form this season – chipping in with 17 goals and 12 assists in 41 games in all competitions.
