Real Madrid ‘Agree £160m’ World Record Deal For French Starlet Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid are poised to smash the world transfer record for the sixth time in their history with the €180m (£160m) signing of Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.French sensation Mbappe is one of world football’s most in-demand stars following his stunning start to life as a professional. Spanish outlet Marca claim Real have reached a €180m [£160m] agreement with Monaco for the 18-year-old. It is said that the deal will be either €150m [£134m] or €160m [£143m] up front and then €30m [£26m] or €20m [£17m] in add-ons. Mbappe will sign a six-year deal with the La Liga and Champions League champions, Marca say.Monaco have refused to sell their young superstar throughout the summer transfer window. But Real have reportedly managed to reach a breakthrough following talks between the two clubs in Los Angeles. Marca add that Real believe they can tie up the stunning deal ‘in a matter of days’. Mbappe is set to pocket over £120,000-a-week after tax in Madrid on his long-term contract. The potential deal would smash the £90m that Manchester United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba last summer.Photo Credit: Getty
