Robert Lewandowski starred with a goal and an assist as Poland defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 in a Group C match at the Education City Stadium on Saturday.
The Poland captain set up his team’s opening goal which was converted by Piotr Zielinski in the first-half, before scoring his first-ever World Cup goal late in the second-half t give his team all three points.
With the win, Poland moved to the top of Group C, with Mexico set to square off against Argentina later in the day.

After the high of earlier in the week, Saudi Arabia produced another good display and were the better side for periods.
Poland eventually composed themselves and once they got ahead, controlled and managed the game well.
An important three points for them. All to play for in this group.

Argentina and Mexico will face off, in one of the biggest matches in the competition. The match is also very important for Messi and Argentina because if they lose, they are automatically out of the world cup.
