Christophe Galtier has admitted that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is more balanced without Neymar, although he insisted that Neymar’s absence will still be felt.
PSG had announced that the star player would not participate in any of the team’s match this season. This is as a result of the player’s knee surgery which might take time to heal up.

With Neymar being ruled out for likely what remains of the 2022-23 season, PSG manager Galtier has lifted the lid on how it will impact his side as they look to clinch Ligue 1 and the Champions League. It has been suggested that the French giants can set up using a formation that will optimize their performance in the absence of Neymar, which Galtier has surprisingly agreed with.
Speaking ahead of a huge Champions League last 16 second leg tie against Bayern Munich, Galtier explained that though Neymar’s impact will be felt, the team remains strong.

“I’ve read the debate around Neymar. It’s unfortunate for him and a handicap for the team. Look at his goals and assists this season. When I read that it could be a good thing for us, no! The player is seriously injured.
“He’s always been professional since I’ve been here, though he did have a difficult period after the World Cup.
“Is the team better balanced? Yes. But is it better like that? Having Neymar in the squad is an additional asset for us to score goals.”
