Shame! Shame!! Shame!!! Shame!!!! was the only thing heard from the multitude of protesters while Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State battles with the microphone he was supposed to speak with, and as he, without bother, hopes the microphone works, the chant got hotter and tense.
In a 10-second video which surfaced on the streets of Twitter, Sanwo-Olu was seen surrounded by the #EndSARS protesters in Lagos, ina bit to address them.
Meanwhile, the Governor had promised adequate and speedy action in a series of tweet he put out a few days back, stating that his job as the governor puts him as the chief protector of the citizens and appropriate actions will be taken towards that responsibility. So, reading reports of seemingly unlawful exploitation by the people charged to protect is very worrying & needs to be addressed immediately. Be assured that appropriate actions will be taken, & speedily too”, he tweeted.
As he’s not been in the State since the protest began to address the youths, they are angry and have booed him even in his presence as he battles the non-working microphone. See video below:
