Prof Yomi Osinbajo Meets With Igbo Leaders, Re-Assures Nigerians On Peace And Security

Nigeria’s acting president, Prof Yomi Osinbajo met with Igbo leaders yesterday in Abuja to douse the tension arising from the three-month quit notice to Igbo residents in the north and restore the country to the path of peace.Prof Osinbajo who during the meeting sent a strong and deeply patriotic message to Igbos assuring them and other Nigerians of the government’s protection in any part of the country. The assurance came following the acting president’s meeting the previous day with northern leaders where he delivered a similar message.The acting president is also expected to meet with both parties together in order to encourage national unity. The series of meeting is in response to growing agitation in the country sparked by an ultimatum issued to Igbos in the north by Arewa youths.
