Prince William And Kate Middleton have named their baby son Louis Arthur Charles.
In a statement, Kensington Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. “The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”
Louis is also part of Prince William’s full name of William Arthur Philip Louis and Prince George’s full name of George Alexander Louis. The name holds great meaning to William’s own father, Prince Charles, whose beloved great-uncle and mentor, Earl Louis Mountbatten, was assassinated by the IRA in 1979.
William and Kate already have two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The royal couple waited four days to reveal the name of baby prince Louis, who was born on Monday at St Mary’s Hospital in London.
