President Buhari has sacked the service chiefs in the country with immediate effect. The media aide to the president Femi Adesina today made the announcement via his official Twitter handle.
In his statement on Twitter, Femi Adesina mentioned that the president appreciates the outgoing service chief for their effort in serving the country. The new service chiefs are 1. Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff 2. Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff 3. Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff 4. Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.

Over the last few months, Nigerians have called for the sack of the different service chiefs due to the increasing cases of crimes across the country. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and several other elder statesmen in the country have called on the president to take this decision and serve the nation from doom.
