Heavy critic of president Buhari, Ayo Fayose, Governor of Ekiti state was seen exchanging pleasantries with the President Buhari at the state of council meeting which took place at the aso rock villa Abuja few days ago.
The meeting which was presided over by President Buhari, is the third of such under his tenure. All living past presidents are members of the council but former presidents Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Shehu Shagari and Ibrahim Babangida were absent.
In attendance were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd), Gen Yakubu Gowon (Rtd), Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Senate President Bukola Saraki and governors of Sokoto, Delta, Adamawa, Imo, Benue, Ebonyi, Niger, Ogun, Zamfara, Ekiti, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Kano, Plateau, Kebbi, Jigawa, Bauchi, Abia, Nasarawa, and Lagos states.
The opening prayer was said by a former Chief Justice, Mohammed Uwais and Gen Yakubu Gowon (Rtd). To appreciate their punctuality and contributions, President Buhari exchanged pleasantries with all the guest present at the event, and his media spat with Fayose did not stop him from greeting the Ekiti state governor too.
