Nigerian President, Buhari, has been elected as the new chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). President Buhari was elected president at the 53rd ordinary session of the ECOWAS Summit of Heads of State and Government in Lome, Togo, on Tuesday.
The president’s personal assistant Bashir Ahmad revealed this on Twitter, tweeting;
President Muhammadu Buhari has been elected the new Chairman of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at the just concluded ECOWAS Summit in Lome, Togo.
