President Buhari Casts Vote In Katsina

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections in Katsina State.

On Saturday, Buhari exercised his civic right at the Kofar Baru Polling Unit 003 of Sarkin Yara A Ward, Daura Local Government Area, Katsina State.

He, alongside his family including his son, Yusuf Buhari.

The president arrived his polling unit as early as 8:53 am when accreditation and voting commenced.

It was reported that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has benn in smooth function.

Voting is still going on peacefully in various parts of Katsina State, where 3, 459,945 registered voters are expected to participate.

Generally, security has been beefed up across the State, with the movement of persons and vehicles restricted in compliance with directives of the Inspector General of Police.

However, police and other security agencies are patrolling the entire neighborhood to ensure the safety of voters and electoral officials.
