Cristiano Ronaldo’s team are set to kickoff their 2018 World Cup campaign against the toughest team in Group B, as Portugal take on Spain on Friday night for their first group stage match in the Russia-hosted tournament.

After their dramatic success in the 2016 European cup, Portugal are set to give the world another football thriller as they launch a daring attempt to win the 2018 tournament amidst other football giants. Portugal will be relying on their five-time world best player of the year, Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be working hand-in-hand with the likes of Nani and Quaresma in the Portuguese front-line.

Spain will hope that their last minute head coach change will not ruin their world cup bid, as they unveil their strongest starting eleven against Portugal on Friday night. Diego Costa will lead the Spanish strike team, after he was selected over Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata in the 23-man world cup squad.
