Police Teargas, Disperse Protesters At 2nd Anniversary Of #EndSARS

Personnel of the Lagos State Police on Thursday fired teargas to disperse protesters commemorating the 2nd year anniversary of the EndSARS movement at the Lekki Tollgate.

In a live footage, protesters were seen running helter-skelter for safety and there are photos of several arrests made at the scene of the incident.

The protester had come out on Thursday morning led by famous musician, Falz and actor, Mr Macaroni to stage a peaceful walk at the Lekki tollgate in commemoration of the shooting that occurred two years ago.

The commemorative walk was gathered to be peaceful until police stormed the scene to fire teargas at the people to disperse them from the location.

KOKO TV had earlier reported that Nigerians storm the scene of the Lekki Massacre with dummy coffins, flowers and the like to mark the 2nd anniversary of the #Endsars protest.

The 20th of October, 2020, remains a painful day in the hearts of Nigerians as that was the day the Lekki massacre happened. Although today several reports have surfaced from the government revealing different results, many still maintain that many people were killed that day.
