The Nigerian police have reportedly arrested the suspended Deputy Commissioner Of Police, Abba Kyari, after he was declared wanted by the Nigerian Drug Law Agency NDLEA for links with drug cartels in the country. 
According to some police sources familiar with the situation, disclosed that DCP Kyari will be handed to the NDLEA for onward prosecution.

“He was arrested by the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department because he failed to appear twice following invitation that the NDLEA was looking for him”, a police chief said.
“He is with the AIG FCIID now and will be sent to the NDLEA shortly”.
The official said DCP Abba Kyari’s pending case on the internet fraud charges will proceed separately.

“They want to formalise the ongoing probe by PSC before handing him over for prosecution and extradition”, an official added.
Mr Kyari arrest came hours after he was declared wanted by the NDLEA on charges that he had ties to drug cartels strong-arming Brazil-Ethiopia-Nigeria channel.
