Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, has been elected the new Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum NGF. Fayemi takes over from Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari. Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal will serve as the deputy chairman. The forum was established in 1999 to coordinate the activities of governors in matters of national interest.
