Petrol Subsidy Doesn’t Benefit Nigerians, It Benefits Only Some Businessmen – Timipre Sylva On Why FG Will Halt Subsidy

Minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva has revealed that the federal government will soon halt the current subsidy regime for premium motor spirit (PMS), better known as petrol.

Sylva made this known during a graduation and awards ceremony organised by Offshore Technology Institute, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday.

He stated that the payment of subsidy was “benefiting certain businessmen in the country.”
