The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected moves by the Federal government to regulate social media in the country.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja on Wednesday, it explained that the move was a slap on the freedom of speech and media rights.

He explained that the move would silence citizens from speaking against the excesses and inconsistencies of the government of the day.
