Kenneth Imasuagbon one of the Edo State Governorship aspirants on the People’s Democratic Party’s platform has slammed the rumours making the rounds that he has stepped down for Governor Obaseki.

The Abuja based educationist has released a statement to debunk the news of his stepped, insisting that he was in the race to win and not just there to make up the number in the bid to become the PDP’s flagbearer in the forthcoming EdoState elections.

Mr Kenneth Imasuagbon also noted that Gov. Obaseki knows that he is quite popular among the delegates and so he is trying to manipulate the delegates list in his favour. Mr Imasuagbon made a stern warning against any of such manipulation and if it happens he would drag them to court.Resign And Apologise To Nigerians - PDP To Fashola Over Bad Roads Comment

He noted that the rumour that he had stepped down was being spread from his (Obaseki’s) camp to sway the votes of delegates in his favour.

“The governor knows that am popular with the delegates and he is doing everything possible to change this.
“For the sake of emphasis, I have not and will not consider accepting anything to step down from the race for the PDP ticket.
“I also understand that they are trying to manipulate the delegates’ list in their favour. I want to warn that if they try it, we will do everything possible to resist it, we shall also meet in court,”
