Paul Pogba: It Has Always Been A Dream To Play For Real Madrid

Manchester United talisman Paul Pogba has stoked speculation of a potential move to Real Madrid, claiming that “it is a dream for anyone” to play for the Spanish giants. Pogba, who is currently on international duty with France, had only today claimed that he wanted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be installed as permanent United manager, having been a rejuvenated force under the caretaker.Pogba has scored nine goals in 17 appearances since Jose Mourinho’s dismissal but highlighted the lure of playing for his idol Zinedine Zidane in a press conference before France take on Moldova on Friday. “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Pogba said. “There is also (Zinedine) Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football. For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.” Pogba remained tight-lipped on his fractious relationship with Mourinho, but reaffirmed that he had not changed as a player since France’s World Cup win in Russia. “With him we did not win, that’s why it was wrong. If the results were positive, he would have stayed. That’s all, there’s nothing else to say. I remain myself and I have always remained myself. I stayed natural in the locker room, it’s my personality. I will not change.”Photo Credit: Getty
