Passengers Escape Death As Plane Crashes In Ilorin

The runway of the Ilorin International Airport has been closed to traffic following a crash-landing by an aircraft in the fleet of Air Peace. Many passengers, including some highly-placed Nigerians, narrowly escaped death.

According to the investigation, the aircraft crash-landed at about 9.30 am on Friday morning in Ilorin from Abuja. The plane landed with a bang, which affected the cabin with luggage falling on passengers. Following the incident, the runway of the airport was closed for 24 hours. All the passengers were successfully evacuated. All flights to Ilorin have also been canceled until the evacuation of the plane.
