Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and Deputy, Bayo Lawal have been presented with their certificates of return in Ibadan.
The certificates of return were presented to both Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Bayo Lawal by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday after their victory at the March 18th gubernatorial elections.

Thirty-two members of the House of Assembly have also been presented with their certificates.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Adeniran Tella, at the ceremony, thanked the stakeholders for the success of the recently held elections.
Speaking at the event held at the University of Ibadan, Tella said the use of technology for the 2023 polls added value to the electoral process.
He called for the support of the political class to help the commission conduct a better exercise in coming elections.

INEC National Commissioner for Oyo, Lagos, and Ekiti states, Mr Sam Olumekun hinted that the preparation for the 2023 election commenced immediately after the 2019 polls which he claimed contributed to its success.
