The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on Tuesday, visited a former governor of the state, Segun Oni, urging him to return to the All Progressives Congress where he was the National Deputy Chairman before he left.

Oni, a former Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, who contested in the June 18, 2022, Ekiti state governorship election on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, challenged the victory of Oyebanji in the election at the Supreme Court.

Speaking, Oyebanji said, “For me, I believe litigation is part of the electoral process and I appreciate His Excellency (Oni) for pursuing the electoral matter up till the apex court and not recourse to self-help.”
