The times have walked past so fast and again, it is the lover’s season – Valentines 2021. 2020 edition was an amazing one for many, plenty thanks to soul singer Chike with the sonorous voice who treated us to an amazing 14-track Boo of The Booless, an album that has something soothing for everyone in the various category of love – madly in love, wanting to rekindle the spark, out of love, heartbroken, hoping to be in love, looking for love or not even looking for.
For Valentine’s Day 2020, no Nigerian artiste seems to be giving us a full body of work to vibe to, hence, we have compiled a loving playlist you should be jamming or cuddling to, as the case may be. Herein, is a song for every category too. Check them out:
Smile for Me by Simi: rekindle your love and give each of your loved ones assurances with this amazing track by Simisola, the songbird. Though released in 2017, c’mon, this song still resonates and sure, your loved ones won’t be able to resist. Romantic lovers, look into each other’s eyes, hold hands, profess the love and assurances and get all emotional and romantic.
Jowo by Davido: some boos do not just like the gifts or ups and downs, it is not their love language – simple words of adoration will just do for them, and that is why you have this track here. Serenade her (and him too, of course) with this, and have him/her stay forever.
Mystery Girl by Johnny Drille: take your Valentines a step further in romance with this afro-pop piece by the legendary alternative rock and folk singer. Is there a beaut you are eyeing and need the ginger to meet up this Valentines? This song will sure pave a way.

Ayanfe by Temmie Ovwasa: Here, is another amazing track by Temmie Ovwasa, the former YBNL act. If you cannot find your words to profess your love to your Val, yet together forever is the deal, this is sure a good piece to help you out. Heads up; you may need a Google Translation, however, if you do not understand Yoruba.
Ife A Dale by Sola Allyson: Love, dating, marriage and relationships are not all about romance, sex, hanging out and all the mushy mushy things alone. Some times, you have to cast and bind, pray for boo/bae and this song right here, is all the richness and goodness you need to accomplish this. Even if the Mr/Ms Right is not here yet, a prayer bank works just more than your device power bank. Go ahead and make those declarations with this great one from sensational noble Sola Allyson. You can as well try out Eji Owuro, it is evergreen, you know.
Again by Wande Coal: legendary Wande Coal came through with Again and this is for another love profession. “Me and you at the same time I never want to leave omo Do dance with me omo I pull up on your beach omo It’s time to swim omo”, the lyrics tell of a relationship that has gone through a whole lot but will still stick on no matter what. Is that yours? Then we got you a perfect fit.
Mi Casa Su Casa by Korede Bello: this song causes so many butterflies in the belly and brings such a cute adoration through the singer’s voice. This is sure a delight for the young lovers, go on and enjoy.
True Love by Yemi Alade: okay, if you are single and awaiting true love to find you, you just need to hop on this. Even if attached, happiness is key and this song just oozes happiness!
Highway by Phyno ft DJ Kaywise: with love comes happiness and ginger. This song is here to give you all the vibes and cruise and highness you can get as you and your loved ones spend quality time of love together. Not every time kissing and cuddling, pure vibes and Highway is needed.
If You No Love Me by Chike ft Mayorkun: after the sessions of professing love, it may get to a time you need to be assured too of unending love. So if you are either having it rough this Valentines or you need your assurance too, this might be yours. Chike and Simi just sent out a remix of the amazing Running To You, it may be a response if you are the one asked for assurance.
For You by Teni ft Davido: this jam by these two eccentric African artistes dropped just in time we are getting prepared for this edition and the Valentine’s Day, and of course, we can’t afford not to have it.
