Oluwo of Iwo Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has called for the amendments of Nigerian laws to accommodate capital punishment for criminals. The royal father said this while speaking at a book launch in Abuja on Sunday, August 1. The monarch that the reason why criminality is on the increase is that criminals are no longer shot openly and televised nationwide.
The royal father said that children and Nigerians are lost daily to crime and the law of the country has a huge role to play if it will be reduced. Oluwo of Iwo shared that today’s society has become too crime friendly and anyone judge who delays justice should be served hot justice.
