The Ondo state governor Rotimi Akeredolu has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The state governor disclosed this a few minutes ago during a press conference and sad he will be going on self isolation immediately. Governor Akeredolu Shut Down Schools In Ondo Over FloodMr Rotimi Akeredolu said he had malaria a few days ago and got over it but decided to get tested for COVID-19 which has now returned positive. He said he is Asymptomatic at the moment and will be on home management till he makes full recovery.

”I had malaria a few days ago and was treated. I did get over it and as at the time we had our party NEC and my colleagues called on me, I spoke with one of them who felt that malaria shouldn’t be treated lightly but that I should go ahead and have a test for COVID19. The result come out today June 30 and I tested positive.

I am asymptomatic. I am not feeling sick nor feeling hot in anyway but my doctors have decided I should take the normal treatment and self isolate. I beleieve that supervised home management will be ideal for me for now and so from now I will be isolated and go on with the supervised home management”.
