Rotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo state governor has revealed that he intends to give his all to see Buhari remain Nigeria’s president in 2019.
The governor who made this pronouncement at a unification rally in Akure organised as part of activities to celebrate his first year in office, called on residents of Ondo State to vote for Buhari in the upcoming general election.
Akeredolu said: “Here in Ondo State, we are supporting Buhari for a second term, and nothing can change that. We are with Buhari and Oyegun. I have to commend members of the state House of Assembly for tolerating me.” He also stated that a campaign office for President Buhari’s re-election bid will be opened along Ilesa road in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
“I have to commend the members of the state House of Assembly for tolerating me.I am one of the governors that will give everything it takes for him to secure a second term in 2019. I am open and frontal about my support for his second term.” he said.
The rally was attended by the First Lady, Arabinrin Betty Akeredolu, APC Governors: Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Former Governor of Ekiti State Segun Oni, Minister of solid mineral development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Prof Cladius Daramola, and National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
