Rising Star: Meet The Dark-Skinned Diva Omowunmi Dada, The Multi-Talented Beauty Set For Nollywood’s Summit

Omowunmi Dada is an award-winning Nigerian actor, presenter, model and brand influencer. The talented actress who seems to have come into her foe more in the last year, with her beautiful work on movies like Oloture, Diamond in the Sky both movies which have earned a lot more accolades, awards and true recognition of her unique script-interpreting ability.  Omowunmi Dada from Oloture

The Jumia brand ambassador Omowunmi Dada, was born 2nd of October 1989, in Lagos Nigeria. Omowunmi attended Ifako International Nursery and Primary School for her Primary education and got her secondary education at the Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi. And afterwards, she obtained a degree in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos {UNILAG}.

Omowunmi’s biggest feature till date has got to be her co-leading role on the movie Oloture that was built on the true-life story of sex workers in Nigeria and the victims of human trafficking and the sad reality of this dead multi-billion dollar cruel industry. Omowunmi Dada with Sharon Ooja held down her role with a supreme level of delivery and characterisation, with top-notch acting skill honed to perfection. The beautiful dark-skinned fast-rising actress is the perfect embodiment of beauty, brains and talent.

An actress who is steadily cutting a swath among the industry’s recognisable faces and who has proved that she has her eyes on the summit with some of her recent acting runs including Kunle Afolayan’s Omugwo and King Invincible.

Omowunmi got her first screen run in 2008 as the host of the first Nigerian kid’s Reality TV show titled “Kidz Alone” by Fidelis and Tope Duker.

She has since then diverted fully acting and has featured in a number of films and series, some including King Invincible, Zena, The Antique, Somewhere In the Dark, Ojuju, Majele, Catcher, Omugwo, Jimeji…and more, her latest no at the moment that’s quickly gathering followership at the moment is the Ndani TV original “Game On”.

Omowunmi Dada has also named the Nollywood veteran Tina Mba has one of her biggest inspiration and role model in the film industry, along with Genevieve Nnaji, Mo Abudu and outside of Nigeria Meryl Streep and Charlize Theron.

Her greatest ambition as an actress is to star in several Hollywood blockbuster projects and own a production company because she dreams of producing and directing someday soon in the future.
