Oluwaseun Osowobi, a Nigerian lady who recently got Barrack Obama’s attention has recounted her ordeal with the Nigerian Police, noting that the arm of government is a mess.
Oluwaseun had gotten a special shout out from the former US President after she was named in the TIME 100 Next List. She took to the streets of Twitter to narrate her experience with some Police officers and of how she was arrested together with the driver of a cab conveying her.
According to the anti-rape activist, the driver was arrested for receiving a call while driving and she was also grabbed as an accomplice simply because she didn’t warn him from the act.
I just got released from the Police Station. The person driving the vehicle I was in was on a call, he was stopped and was about to be arrested + handcuffed. My crime: I took a photo evidence of the situation & said nothing to calm the driver down. The Nigeria Police is a mess”, she wrote.

Oluwaseun Osowobi then went ahead to give a report of how the police officers gisted and gossiped about purposely keeping someone in cell, simply because he was fighting for his right.
“I have so much resentment in me. I sat at the Station & heard a female Police officer brag about how a man was left in the cell for days because they wanted to teach him a lesson for insisting he knew his rights as a Nigerian citizen when he was arrested. Other officers laughed“, she tweeted.
