Okechukwu Okoye: Nnamdi Kanu Will Be Shocked To Learn That Gunmen Beheaded Anambra Lawmaker – IPOB Lawyer

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB‘s the lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has reacted to a report about a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Okey Okoye, who was recently beheaded by gunmen.

Okoye, the lawmaker representing Aguata II state constituency in Aguata was abducted last Sunday alongside Cyril Chiegboka, his campaign director. Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo had said during the week that efforts were ongoing to rescue the lawmaker from his abductors. But on Saturday, the lawmaker’s head was reportedly displayed at a motor park in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state. Soludo has subsequently offered a reward of N10 million to anyone or group with information that can assist security agencies to arrest Okoye’s killers so that they can be brought to justice. Reacting in a statement on Sunday, Ejiofor said the south-east region is under siege by blood-sucking demons. He wrote, “Dear Igbos of goodwill – home and abroad – our Land is under siege by blood-sucking demons. It is no longer in doubt that the insecurity rocking the South-East region has taken an entirely troubling dimension and cannot be allowed to continue. “Yesterday, being the 21st Day of May, 2022, I was inundated with the most unbelievable news making rounds, of the gruesome torture and subsequent beheading of one Mr. Okechukwu Okoye and his co-traveller in Anambra state by their abductors.
