Obi, Atiku, Tambuwal, Others Pay Tribute To Late Mother Of Emeka Ihedioha

Notable Nigerians, including the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, and his Peoples Democratic Party counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, gathered in Abuja yesterday to pay tribute to the late Dame Dorothy Nsonma Ihedioha, mother of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha.

During the Service of Songs at St James Anglican Church in Asokoro, they expressed their love for late Dorothy, describing her as a God-fearing, tolerant, and cheerful woman who lived a life and left a legacy that should be emulated.

Mr. Peter Obi, in his tribute, spoke of her as a true mother and an advocate of peace, recounting how she urged him to be his brother’s keeper and not let politics come between him and Ihedioha, regardless of their different political affiliations.

He said, “Me and my brother Emeka supposed to be in different camps politically but I will shock you. I am always in his house to see Mama and the wife and I will say Emeka I came here to see Mama but I did not come for politics, so keep your politics. Mama will pray for me that whatever you are looking for God will give it to you”
