The young girl got hold of the gun and accidentally shot her pregnant mum.

A 3-year-old girl accidentally shoot and wounded her pregnant mother. This unfortunate event happened at Merrillville, Indiana. The young girl was playing with her father’s loaded gun. The girl, her 1-year-old brother and her pregnant mum were waiting in a car parked outside a northwestern Indiana thrift store. However, her pregnant mum’s boyfriend was inside the store when the shooting happened. Apparently, the man who is the girl’s father left a loaded gun carelessly in the car. The young girl got hold of the gun and accidentally shoot her pregnant mum.
The 21-year-old mother, Shaniqua Thomas who has now been identified by the police is in a critical stable condition at the hospital. The officer on the case, Detective Sergeant James Bogner says “the girl had no idea what she had done and she was very scared.”
The Police said the family lives in Michigan city. The children are under a protective custody. The police is therefore holding the man on suspicion of child endangerment. Photo Credit: Getty
