Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has told the APC National Working Committee head and Ex-Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomole, to always follow due protocols, informing him ahead, before visiting the state.
This is coming as the Governor’s response to allegations laid against him for masterminding the attack on Oshiomole when he visited the state recently. Obaseki noted that he was not in the know of the APC National Chairman’s visit, neither was the state Police command.According to the Governor, communication of such visitation is a necessary protocol that should be observed especially for security reasons. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Communication and Public Affairs, Crusoe Osagie, Obaseki further denied knowledge of the attack on the Benin residence of the APC boss.

“As a former governor, he ought to be informing the governor and security agencies each time he is coming into the state. The commissioner of police has declared the state peaceful but Oshiomhole and his cohorts were bent on making it ungovernable“, Osagie said.
