In what has been a long heated debate among fans viewers and audience, on whether celebrities nude pose is a style in vogue or should be condemn, in the Western world where female celebrities engage in this style for a magazine covers, album, fashion bloggers or to pass a message to the public, well not without rewards either in cash or fame. Some few notable celebrities whose nude pics has gone viral include queen Beyonce, Ciara, Serena William, Cynthia Morgan, beverly Osu and so on.
Recently award winning media personality Toke Makinwa post a nude picture to promote her beauty product, this act did not go well with some of her fans and has left the Internet bussing following the spread of this picture on social media. A lot of these topless (and sometimes nude) celebrity selfies have an important reason behind them, whether it be to call out the policing of women’s bodies on social media or to break down the fourth wall of Photoshopping and body insecurities. Many celebrities belive they should be proud of their body type and skin colour , and one way to do that is to share some of these photos. it is also a good way to draw attention to a good cause, bag endorsement deals, promote themselves. naked Instagram selfies are some of the most eye-catching ways to do that. Plus, there’s nothing wrong with showing skin. The more body-positive we can be, the better.
Well it is argued that celebrities are to promote educate and entertain in a moral and decent manner not promoting the immoral act of showing their nakedness on social media or tv screens where there are millions of users including children.
in support of this it is wide known fact that some young talents see these celebrities has their mentor, what policies are they laying for upcoming youths who wants to impact positively in the industry.This jeopardise the home of many entertainers who engage in this act through divorce.
in conclusion, celebrities understand and know fully well the circumstances surrounding nude pictures, however this should not jeopardies our moral values in the entertainment industry and as a nation at large .
